BarclaysCard Rejections Letter Recieved

I had my rejection from Barclays card today, Not happy - I sent on 07/06/2011 with my complaint was my cancelation letter for PPI - was still not removed so I called and advisor refused to remove as my complaint was being looked into so have carried on paying untill i called again 2 weeks ago and got through to customer realations who finally agreed to remove saying that I should have had it removed when i first asked.

Right my rejection - In bold is my complaints in short

I was given no information - we have taken very seriously your complaint that the barclayscard sales rep did not discuss the optionality of the PPI policy. Our Sales process used at the time of the sale required our staff to state the policy was optional and we cant find no reason to suggest that the optionality was not discussed with you, This would also have been disclosed in the pre and post sales literature which was sent to you.

You feel you were paying for something you never had use for - we have taken very seriously your complaint that you felt pressured to purchase the PPI Policy - Our Sales process used at the time of the sale required our staff to discuss PPI in a clear, fair and balanced manner. We have been unable to identify any reason to suggest that you were placed under undue pressure to take out the policy.

The advisor was very pushy to get the form signed and rushed through telling me to tick boxes to get upgrade (I was 18 applying for an upgrade from electron but instead she signed me upto creditcard) - we have taken very seriously your complaint that you were not provided with accurate information in relation to the ppi policy- Our Sales process used at the time of the sale required the barclayscard rep to discuss the key features of the policy, including cost, benefits, limtatuins and exclusions. We have been unable to identify any reason to suggest this information was not discussed with your in a clear and fair manner

In addtion to your complaint reasons we have also conducted a complete review based on information we had accessed in the course of our investigations and have found there is no evidence that the policy was mis sold

Please be aware we will not enter into futher correspondence on this matter hoever we will co-operate fully with FOS

Okay so what do you make of this? Should I go to FOS now?

This is the first time I have ever done anything like this and already done the complaint form through here to start with.

I would be thankfully of any advice sorry its a long one

Linda:(

    Hi Linda

    Sorry to hear this.

Yes do complain to the FOS now and send them a copy of anything you have and the copy of the final letter you received.

    I know its so frustrating!

I'm sure the FOS will get this sorted out for you now, please keep us posted and the best of luck. x;)

I hate complaing but the final letter they have sent just doesnt give answers to my complaint its just a standard fob off I have seen a few others on here with the same things.

When I spoke to them 2 weeks ago the guy said they hadnt even looked at the claim or close to and he advised me then to go straight to FOS should of done it then but I will get it all done tonight.

I would be inclined to write to them by giving them 14 days to review and come back with a new decision on this, and if you hear nothing by then, or if they do not change the decision, complain to the FOS.

Sometimes even if they have given a final decision, within good reason will reconsider.

I would write all your concerns on this, and as you have done above, tell them you don't believe this complaint have been investigated properly, and you feel they failed to take a genuine complaint into consideration, and anything else you can think of that applies to you.;)
