yep it is posible, either hover over the name of person and select the Find More Posts by 'x' or go to search->advanced search and then enter search by poster

I cant trace the person,he/she has only made 2 posts0

Hovering doesn't work for me, I have to do a left click to see the options.
Have a look in the members list - see above this thread.Torgwen.....................

thanks for pointing out the members list, but they are not on it(and a MOD cant find them), remember sending a pm so i have done it that way.0 -
That would probably mean then that the person you pm'd on the old site had changed their user name. All user names reverted to the original sign up name when we transferred over to the new forums.
You could perhaps try searching the forums for the thread you remember this person posting on, might still be here somewhere or will be in the archive forums.0 -

name not changed,and doesn,t appear in members list,strange but true0 -
If the name starts with a lower-case letter then you can't get to it from the row of letters at the top of the member list (see this thread)
But you should be able to get to any name through member search. The member search - frustratingly - is case sensitive.
I can't understand why the member list is case sensitive by default but it isn't on other vb sites.
Maybe the system they used to import stuff from yabb set it that way so our names would appear exactly like they used to be0
