Don't know if this is the right place to post this - has anyone applied for opening this savings account with Tesco to gain the 1000 points? Had a look at the link from Martin which takes me to the right page for opening a savings account, but nowhere does it mention the bonus 1000 points. Can anyone help?:confused:

I opened up one of these accounts, (minimum £1000, which I had spare, thanks to re-claiming my bank charges!). I opened it up on-line, and the link promised 1000 points if the money has was in and cleared etc. by June 30th. Saying that, I haven't got my points yet, but I'm giving them till that date.
Maybe for some reason the deals off ( too many applicants from MSE perhaps!!), I suggest that you ring the clubcard helpline for clarification.

The deal for savings account was for accounts opened by 19th June but £1000 had to be in on the 30th. That is why mention of deal has gone from website but you should have your points in August post out. I opened the account about 10 days ago but have not had confirmation yet so not sure if I will get points ot not.

Hiya, I want to open another tesco account to make full use of the 1000 pt codes, but I already have one in my husbands name, was thinking about opening accounts in the kids names. Can anyone think of any reasons why this would be a bad idea?

    Thanks

Received this email from Tesco just now.

We hope you are enjoying the wine you recently bought from Tesco Wine Club.

You may have noticed we have accidentally given you an extra £35 off your purchase. Don’t worry, obviously we won't ask for it back. This one is on us! The mistake was due to an unexpected system error, granting you £50 off, instead of £15 off.

We have highlighted the cause of this issue and are confident we have fixed the problem. Whilst this great deal was a mistake, we would love you to come and try more of our wine soon and check out more of our exclusive offers.

Be sure to visit our Tesco Wine Club website regularly to ensure you don’t miss out on future great deals and competitions.
    Cheers!

    Tesco Wine Team

    Well done Mr. T !!!!

Unfortunately, my delivery's not due till today - it was the first one I could get. So it looks like I've missed out. Never mind, eh.

My wine's just arrived. They've not taken off the £15, so it was £65, but I did get the 1000 points.

I phoned, and they told me they are aware of a problem, and that I'll be getting an email, to confirm that the £15 will be refunded to me.
  • I had exactly the same telephone conversation. I ordered 2 WoW cases but they didn't take off the 'save an additional £15' e-coupon:mad: . The lady on the phone also said that they would be sending an email telling me the money would be refunded to my card. I'll keep you posted!

I cant think of any bad reasons why you should not do this, However I can think of many reason why you should do it.

Just keep the same surname and dont call CS, many people have several accounts.

Thanks, think I will do it. Only been doing this for about 1 month and already have 4300 points. I think I am addicted, my husband says I am. I want to see if I can get enough points for a holiday next year.
