Banks or Public Sectors. who has killed the West

Everyone likes to say it was the banks, but was it? really? Ok, they needed bailing out (or did they, they could have been left to fail but it was decided that it would not be a good idea to let that happen).
So can anyone say, what is the amount that has been paid to the banks in the UK since 2008 and what is the amount paid to the public sector during the same period?

Let's get this right...
It's not "the banks"
It's the debt-based banking system which has caused our problems. and without this system, the public sector would not exist in its current form."The problem with quotes on the internet is that you never know whether they are genuine or not" -

Bank statements to shareholders are public documents on record. I suggest The White Horse should devote some time for the perusal of them.

the UK earns/creates Billions a year. the public sector just takes billions out and puts little back. that is the problem. of course schools and hospitals are important but they are not the majority of the public sector.0

If there's anyone in the public sector who wants to get out there may be a solution.
Here's a civil servant from Spain who's managed it

I don't work in a school or hospital but there would be problems for the greater public if me and my collogues all stopped working.
I will agree there has been/is waste in the public sector, but to label the whole thing as pointless is rather wrong.Have my first business premises (+4th business) 01/11/2017

I worked in the Public Sector for 17 years & can honestly state that waste & profliglacy was/is rife.
Our annual budget was cut from 2004 onwards & when the real crunch came we had no further savings to be made; we could not even afford ink for an out of date fax machine!
My former department had 39 employees with 1 manager & last year after "rationalisation" consisting of VER & Voluntary Redundancies finished up with 42 staff & 3 managers on a much higher wage than the previous one manager.
To this day there are still far to many managers, department heads, deputies & officials empire building on unjustifyable high rates of pay & things will never change no matter which govenment is in power.
It is the mindset which seems to infect most staff that they are all irreplacable, have a job for life & to hell with the taxpayers.
Absenteeism? Just don't start me on this !!!!
N.Never be afraid to take a profit.
Keep breathing.
Just because I am surrounded by FOOLS does not make me wise. :j0 -
