Can i cancel my PPI while claiming

Just so i know will this effect my claim in any way as I just do not want it and if the claim can take months then I do not want to be paying out on it as I am paying over £90 a month for this?

  • If you don't know then that should be down on your PPI claim form too =) But yes you can. I submitted my claim including that I was never made aware that I could cancel it at anytime, as well as some other factors. I was quite furious when I found out I could have cancelled it.

If you're making a claim on the insurance, why would you want to cancel it?
(or have I misread the post?)

Thanks for that just called them and told that my claim can take up to 16 weeks (thought it was 12) and now asking them to remove the PPI they will be sending a letter in the post to sign this.

Because by the time the claim is put through i would have pad from £400 and may not get anything back so just as well canceling it now so it will save me that money

I think they mean that they are putting in a PPI refund claim, not a PPI claim.
