I would be paying cach for the house.....
I am on incapacity benefit .....
    We have no substantial savings
    I really don't understand this.

You must have substantial savings if you can pay cash for a house.

Should you be receiving benefits with these savings?
  • Hi again and thanks very much from the majority of you for your replies, lovely to know there are good people out there.

I have since spoken to the estate agent and owners who have the house in question in an auction.
Just found out that there is a buyers fee of £5k + VAT at 20% on top so that is me out i`m afraid.

The owners would have taken £5k for the house as a quick sale `Hense i`m not rich and DO NOT have substantial savings` but thanks for that anyway.

Anyway my friends it`s a no goer now but thanks ever so much for your replies, great forum!

    All the best

    Chris
