Son wants to buy Canon PowerShot G7 Digital Camera (10.0MP, 6x optical zoom) from Pixmania. Is there a difference between SanDisk SD 2 GB ULTRA II or any other SD memory card? I told him not to buy from them although they are cheaper as their office is in France. Does anybody know how can I make sure their product is uk with english manual, do not want any continental plug? Thanks

Pixmania are ok to deal with, I have just purchased an HD DVD player from them, it came with, like most things a multi language manual (inc. English!) the plug was a french one (2 pin), but that only needs a shaver plug, so was not a problem. I doubt this will be a problem, you could always ring them 08700118117 they have a London collection point as well (792, Fulham Road
Fulham-)
As for the SD card to be honest, unless you are doing burst shots (quick one after another) you should by a cheap SD card from 7day shopMy Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
From Pixmania it probably will be a continental model. Why take the risk when you can get the UK model for £307 here:

Or from Amazon for £310:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-PowerShot-Digital-Camera-optical/dp/B000IMBA2M/sr=8-1/qid=1169070005/ref=pd_ka_1/026-0214043-9730849?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
The Sandisk Ultra II is a high-speed card, which means that the camera will be able to write the data to the card faster and will be ready to take the next picture quicker than it would with a standard speed card. This is most beneficial if taking a continuous sequence of photos or video. Other manufacturers also make high-speed cards.Charlie0 -
Thanks, have checked AJ electronics and the price seems OK with free delivery. It's just Pixmania offers 2 yrs warranty but I know the hassle if something goes wrong. I am asking about the high speed card because Amazon is doing this 2gb at a very competitive price of £26+ but I have never bought from Amazon market place before and I do not know what the postage will be? Thanks for your help again.0

Recently bought a new 2GB SD memory card for my camera. Aldi were offering "Traveler" ones for £19.99 - bargain!!
That was last month, but they may run the offer again so might pay to keep a look out
