Formally rejecting a new car
Options
Morning
Just about to formally reject a new car (well 5 months old but the garage have actually had it longer than us). It has had a problem which hasn't been rectified and nor can they find why it is occurring. The manufacturers are aware and I know our contract is with the garage we purchased it from.
Does anyone know if we have any legal right to hold onto the hire car we have until they source a matching one to what we are rejecting.
Any advice from someone who has gone through this would be great too!
Thanking you

No you have no right to a hire car. Good for you for sticking to your guns and getting a replacement.0

You MIGHT (if you ask nicely) be able to get the manufacturer to foot the bill for a hire car IF you buy another one of their vehicles in good time.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

If a hire car is reasonable then it will be covered as will any extra costs you incur in sourcing a replacement, don’t expect them to volunteer it though0
