Help!.......I bought a old slimline Bosch dishwasher from a local charity that recycles electrical equipment only problem is I dont have a manual and there is not one to download anywhere on the net I have looked
Ok with working out the cycles (I think) but whats baffling me is the setting off the salt compartment, next to it is a little dial with 1-3 on it to set the hardness of the water and I need it on the highest setting with the water round here being like concrete.......only problem is I dont know if 1 is the highest setting or 3 is the highest setting.....guessed it for the moment on 3?

Hi stuart264 - I have a slimline Bosch dishwasher and have dug out the manual, but it's not exactly plain English! It says:
Determine the level of hardness of your tap water. Your local water company or service agent can help you with this.
Identify setting from the following hardness table. (This is where it gets incomprehensible... )
Setting 4 - dh22-35/fh38-62/Clarke27-44/mmol/l 3,8-6,2
Setting 3 - dh17-21/fh30-37/Clarke 21-26/mmol/l 3,0-3,07
Setting 2 - dh 12-16/fh17-29/Clarke 12-10/mmol/l 2,1-2,9
Setting 1 - dh7-11/fh12-16/Clarke9-11/mmol/l 1,2-2,0
Setting 0 - dh0-6/fh 0-11/Clarke0-8/mmol/l 0-1,1
We have hard water here and I've always used it on setting 4 and all has been fine, so I guess setting 3 may be the one for you.
Hope this helps!Life is not a dress rehearsal.0 -
Thanks........I would be lying if I said that I understood the chemistry.....I just googled it instead.......set it to the highest number, thanks0

If you phone the number on the Bosch website they'll help you out and probably send you some dishwasher tablets free. They helped me work mine out and were very helpful. Mine doesn't have dials just buttons for the programmes. Sorry can't help more.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

Thanks, I got their e-mail address and they say for older machines if they have a copy of the manual they will photocopy it and mail it over, so I have asked the question on e-mail including my address.0

I have one and have just checked - mine's set in the 3 position.
It was pofessionally installed and I know I'll have checked the instructions way back when - cos I'm like that!
