Haven't had a response to my PPI Claim and it's been over 16 weeks...

I sent off and received a reciept for my PPI claim at the beginning of June. I also received a second letter from LloydsTSB at the end of June saying that they were looking into my complaint and that I should expect a response within 16 weeks (the new time frame).
It has been 16 weeks now and nothing... what can I do now that they haven't given me a response to my complaint in the time frame given? Has anyone else been in this position?

Hi there
It appears they are still having problems keeping up with the given timescales, but they should have confirmed this to you.
I would ring or email them to ask if there's a letter on the way yet, just in case its mislaid in the post.
Good luck and hope you hear something soon, and lets hope this means a good outcome to come out of it, fingers crossed.

Thanks I've actually just managed to get hold of them and they said they sent out my letters on 2nd September (I never received them)... so they are sending them again.
Apparently my claims have been rejected (despite being told I could only take out a loan if I also took out PPI... a lie). What do I do now?!0 -

It would be time to get in touch with the Financial Ombudsman Service.0 -
Hi there
Sorry to hear that.
If this is the final decision, as NutterGooner says you can make that move to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) now, however some businesses will give you the opportunity to send further information, so see what it says on the letter first if you want to, although you are aware they have rejected the complaint.
How to complain to the FOS.
