How do you store herbs, spices etc?

Ours are all in a shallow drawer above the veg drawer (IKEA kitchen units
). They are all stood up, with labels on their lids (some brands label their lids now too).
This keeps them dark but easy access as the unit is under the main working space in our small kitchen.0 -
The everyday herbs are either growing in the front garden or we get the Big tubs from Costco & have them in a plastic bucket (no light). (We're still working on drying our own...)
The occasional spices are in an ice cream tub lined with black paper to prevent light getting in & the whole tub is lifted in & out of the cupboard as needed.
The exotics (seasonal &/or curry-from-scratch) are in another icecream tub behind the occasional ones.
Salt & pepper are in caterng packs in the pantry (dry shelf above the washing machine) & the mortar is used as needed.
Whatever works for you so long as they stay dry & dark!0 -
We have ours in these jars from ikea.

These are relatively inexpensive and as we have alarge number of herbs/ spices it keeps the cost down. These all fit nicely into one of our drawers underneath the hob so they are right there when you need them.
We have labelled all of ours on the lid so we can easily identify them.0 -
I've got one of these racks that screw to the back of a cupboard door then I store them in the jars they come in/recycled ones. I got mine in Wickes but others are available on ebay etc.0
