How do you store herbs, spices etc?

When we fitted our IKEA kitchen 5 years ago, we chose a deep veg drawer unit, that has a shallow inner drawer which is where all our spices & dried herbs are kept. They are in alpha order, with the names written on the top of the jars or packets, so we can find what we want without dragging everything out!0

I used to do that, worked really well but now I have so many spices they don't fit. Maybe I could fit 2 or 3 little baskets/boxes in my cupboard and have one each for spices, herbs and others...hmmm
a few of the herbs & larger whole spices need a bigger container & those go in a cupboard
both drawers & cupboard are well away from the cooker & window to avoid heat & light0 -
I bought a set of spice containers from Ikea ages ago, they come in a pack of six (I think) they have clear glass bodies with a siler screw top lid and they are fab. They sit in my cupboards in rows and I can see exactly what I have got and what I am running low of. I decant the spices and herbs into these jars and it keeps them fresh. The fact that they look so good I am happy to have them lined up in my cupboard and also I haven't got a jumble of store jars in there.Cat, Dogs and the Horses are our fag and beer money

I have a very large, shallow plastic tub (without the lid) where all the rest get kept. That way I can really easily lift the tub out and see the whole lot at once, so it's much easier to see what I've got. Actually, that was an accident - they were packed in the tub for the house move and when unpacking, OH said "why don't you just put them in the cupboard in the tub?" and it actually turned out to be really good!
Are you, me? :rotfl:
I could have written this! (but my plastic box has the lid on it) - I just lift it out when I need something - ok so I have to lift a few jars before I find the one I want but it's the neatest way I've stored them so far!

Hi all
I have one of those lazy susan swivel thingys in cuboard and i store all my herbs on the top shelf of it, prob is there so unorganised! At the moment i decant into these little glass bottles ive got but they take up so much room. I have lots of drawers so thought about those tins with clear lids but the cheapest ive seen them is £5 for 3 i have about 22 jars
How does everyone store theres? Does anyone know of a nifty way of storing them? :j0 -
I have this set up

I got the containers and the back board from Ikea.
I know they should be in a dark place but this way they are convenient and to hand. All are labeled on the back but I know what most of them are anyway.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0 -
We store ours in the two drawers of our kitchen trolley due to lack of space. All layed flat with their labels showing.0

I store mine in the little jars from Ikea. I have also a special shelf for it, hanged on the wall (also from Ikea).0

I have mine in a drawer, I label the top of the jar with marker pen so I can see what's what.0

I keep mine is a plastic basket in a cupboard but I also have bigger jars of frequently used herbs and spices in a different cupboard as they are less expensive for big packs in the world food section of Tesco or in one of the independent Asian food stores.0
