I did what you have but over two years..we got it in the end,for 186k from 300k but we could of lost it at any time and it was nerve racking for the wife and she gave me a dogs life at times...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Update because I always like it when people come back to say what happened.
We didn't get the house and the sold price has recently appeared. It went for £270k so we weren't in the picture at all. Having seen a few other sale prices it seems like we have our own little property bubble in the area we're looking at.0 -
