Ebooks

What is everyone's opinion on people selling on ebooks of information on ebay? you know the types i mean "101 ebay tips" "free sky channels on your pc" etc. Saw someone on the advertising that he was making good few hundred a week selling them at £9.99 a go. Is this legal? I've seen links to download these "information" ebooks and have a few on my pc already just wondered if they were sellable.

I thought you could only sell ebooks if you had permission from the author to do so. Most of the links ive seem people buy are "how to get a latest nokia phone for £1". And presumably the "information" is telling you to get one on a £100 a month tarrif or something. But, people still buy them!

Ebooks are generally legal to sell on, as long as you have paid for them originally, all that happens is someone will write an Ebook and then sell it for £100 say to several people, each of those then sells it to several people for maybe £20 and then those people might sell it for £4.95 and so on....basically a form of pyramid selling, some Ebooks are just shareware now and you can get a cd rom with over 1000 ebook on one disc.

Generally they are not brilliant, so I wouldn't bother!
