"Foster" advice needed urgently sought

Although there are some very well intentioned people on here, I would make sure you get advice from professionals rather than lay people who think they know what's best.
I don't mean to cause any offence to anyone here (please don't take this the wrong way) but this matter concerns a child's welfare and it would not be a good idea to take advice from people (unless they are providing you with contact details of relevant organisations) who aren't qualified to do so.
Please...phone the fostering network, NSPCC (they are a great source of information) etc etc and ask them for advice.0 -

Age 0-4: £118.60
Age 5-10: £135.10
Age 11-15: £168.18
Age 16+: £204.55
And in the event of the LA's foster carers having no vacancies, they may have to approach private fostering agencies who can charge anything from £300-£400+ per week.
These may be the recommended amounts, but my Local Authority do not pay them.
Even if they did, £35 per night for a B&B x 7 = £245.00
Recommended amount for 16 year old = £204.55
It's all academic anyway we've been told to refer people to relevant organisations. I loved this site, it will not be the same anymore with the stock answer being: Make an appointment at the Citizens Advice Bureau/Police/Shelter etc.
Are we trusted to do that, or can it only be Senior members or Board guides?Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -
your situation is much like mine
i have recently been in this situation
its a hard spot and between a rock, but do Not fret, being in the foster care system is only a step, and you can keep moving on.0
