Insurance for connecting flights

If I want to get an Easyjet flight from Belfast to Bristol and then on to Venice, is there any insurance I can get that will cover me if I don't end up getting to Bristol in time to make the onward flight.
I know Easyjet are not in the least helpful in this situation so are there any options?

Check the terms of your travel insurance policy. Nearly all will cover you for the cost of alternative travel (to a set amount) if you miss a flight through no fault of your own e.g. stuck in a traffic jam because an accident has closed the motorway. You have to have made all reasonable efforts to have made it to the airport on time though!!
