Has anyone come across any fabulous deals to this island please?

  • I'd love to know too.

We went on a cruise last year and stopped off in Ajjacio -we loved Corsica and are really keen to go back but couldn't find many operators that go. I think Thomson go -but flights only from Manchester I think.

I will be intersted to hear from others....

Fly with Air France (think meridiana might go ther too), or get a ferry from South of France or n/w Italy. Or ryanair/easyjet go to alghero/olbia, and can get a ferry from Sardinia.

I dont know of any deals....but just to say I think Corsica is one of the nicest places on Earth. I've spent many a great holiday there......Porto Vecchia mainly.
You must visit Bonifacio when you go back!....WOW!

    Hi Faston

What about getting flight only and finding accommodation when you're there? We did this some years ago (circa 1991, not sure exactly) and there are lots of cheap and characterful pensions. Also campsites are very good if you like that sort of thing. Corsica is beautiful, it was probably the best holiday of my life.

We went last year. Fly ryanair to Pisa ferry to bastia the taxi to our accomodation but actually there is a bus right outsude the ferry door which takes you there.

Accomodation is Le Prado -it is chalets small but amazingly clean and nice with a veranda and a garden-super cheap. Lovely beach -but not nightclubby if you are looking for that but bars restaurants, boats , small childs rides at nigt etc..

It's better to hire a car online for a few days as well as there are some fabby beaches to visit. Only complication is that the Ryanair flight can arrive in Pisa at night so you have to stay over.

Le Prado's couple are very helpful and nice and speak english.
  • Corsica is beautiful. We sailed to Bastia and took the train to Ajaccio. Its an amazing trip. We then hired a car. There's some great driving, superb walking, good snorkelling, and delicious food.
