Hi,
I am just wondering if there is a good template letter out there for sending off to HMRC to get a Tax refund?
Basically for the past 3 odd years I have had the wrong Tax Code and want to claim it back and hopefully it could add upto £500 which will come in very handy at the moment.
Thanks.

Just phone them it's much easier.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

If you can confirm the information that is held on the record there is no need to send a letter. If however you have missed something, or you have claimed JSA in the last year, then this maybe why they need it in writing.
Just write, with the information that has been requested, explaining that you are enclosing the missing information required to complete the assessment for tax year(s) ending 5 April 20XX.
Remember to write 'REPAYMENT CLAIM' at the top of the letter.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
