Do you Rate this Laptop?

Hi All,

I'm looking for a laptop, one that will allow me to browse online, download movies from time to time, use MS Office applications and perhaps CAD and perhaps play the odd game. The below laptop is keenly priced and I'm a fan of HP, is this a good buy for my needs or are there better laptops in the market?

HP G62-a18sa Blue Laptop - £290

Thanks in advance

The specs look as good as any you will get for under £300.

The hard drive at 250GB is not massive by today's standards, although I only have about 40GB of data, so it would be plenty big enough for me.

It's a relatively old model - I doubt you'll have much luck in getting your hands on one. But for the price, it's pretty decent.

Have a look at it first, because I was never much of a fan of the G62's styling (it has a weird hidden touchpad and the keyboard has buttons in all the wrong places for me). The newer G6 range is nicer.

Avoid HP. The hinges are an issue on those and as they require the full laptop to be taken to bits to change them, it costs twice as much as most other laptops to do the job.
  • I've since read a number of bad reviews online regarding this model, taking into account the requirements I have about, what laptop would suit me best?

    Thanks in advance.

When you say CAD and odd game. Do you mean 3DS max and modern FPS game, as that will determine what you need
Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j
