I am still waiting the IP to get in touch with me but I only started today.

Hi. As soon as I decided to go down the IVA route I stopped bothering with payments and contacting creditors. Luckily my IVA took 6 weeks to set up, from first call to approval. The average is around 8 weeks and a lot will depend on how quickly you can gather all the paperwork together.0

Thanks
I have already given payplan the agreement numbers and customer numbers and details of everyone I owe money too.
what else will I need to provide? if I can get a quick start then things could get moving more quickly.

I imagine they will need to see at least three months bank statements, utility bills and wages slips (that's what my firm required) as well as evidence of other outgoings. Mine also wanted a copy of my car's V5 and a copy of my passport.0

Hello Greebrucelee
Mine took around 6 to 8 weeks to set up, Foggybrain is correct the quicker you get all the paperwork to them the quicker than can set a date for the creditors meeting. The phonecalls from creditors will be annoying but i like Foggybrain stopped all payments, put your home phone on a short ring then answerphone and you can screen calls on your mobile, tell family and friends that your are having trouble with your landline if you are trying to be discreet.

I thought I could write to my creditors tell them to take my land line of their systems and only call me on my mobile or contact me by post/email.
I work shift work, I also live with my mother who has parkinsons disease and she is very nervous about things especially phone calls from people she doesn't know.
can i cantact my creditors to say not to phone me on the landline?0 -
Hi, you can try but I think you will find that when speaking to one button monkey it won't stop another button monkey calling you from a different division. Once your IVA is in place that are not allowed to contact you and if they do you must report them to your IP.
You can all but try by calling them, the best thing would be to avoid all calls as they can be very persistant.
Have you missed any payments yet? If you haven't then you will not be receiving calls until you do in which case you could be close to the time of a creditors meeting.
Sadly I think they will continue to phone, if the call is important then they will leave a message and you can phone them back. Most creditors don't leave to much info on an answer phone even if they leave a message, me experience was not many messages.Never make assumptions always ask questions>>>>>;)0 -

I have missed my loan payment with lloyds but they are aware of the situation as it was them who pointed me in the direction of payplan.
I have missed the payments with ramsdens who have banked the cheques but they will bounce and I have the moneyshop cheques which will bounce from friday through next week.
wonga know the situation and my account is frozen for 38 days from last Saturday
the rest of the payday loans are not due till the 28th and 31st of this month. so hopefully the iva will be in place and i wont get hasselled. but i doubt it.0 -
