A&L OnlineSaver Issue 2

I opened an OnlineSaver Issue 2 Account when the bonus offer was until June 2006 in order to get the bonus. (I already had an Issue One account). Then I opened another Issue 2 account just before the bonus offer closed. I didn't realise that you couldn't do this under the terms and conditions.

However the website shows that I have two issue 2 accounts open. When I phoned in December to check that the bonuses had been paid on each account I was informed that neither of the accounts were elegiable for bonuses as they had been given 17*** numbers and not 18*** numbers.

I definitely opened the first Issue 2 account while the bonus was on offer and since they have given me an Issue 2 account this must surely attract the bonus.

Has anyone else had this trouble?

I havent had this trouble as I havent opened one.... yet! But I am thinking of opening one. Does anyone know if you lose interest for withdrawing funds out the account? Is there any limitations on this account?
I have read the terms and conditions... cant seem to find anything but it doesnt explain it that well!

jmwspur - I think all you can do is find you original confirmation of account opening letters and send copies to them and argue your case in writing.

The Online Saver accounts do not lose interest in the month you withdraw unlike Direct Saver accounts. However I believe the bonus ends at the end of March so is it really worth the hassle? IceSave have announced a higher rate that beats Online Saver 2.

Just checked and the bonus is not available to new customers so it is defiantly not worth opening.

The first batch of issue two had a shorter bonus length, which finished some time ago.

Check the website to compare your account number with the "closed account rates".
