Difference between PPI and insurance

I have a Blackhorse car loan, there is insurance on it but NOT the Optional Payment Protection Plan, what is the difference and can I claim back the Insurance on the loan if its not down as PPI?

This is why I am confused on my credit agreement it just says Insurance Key Financial Information monthly repayments £8.11. Then underneath it says Other Financial Information Cash price of Optional Payment Protection Plan £0.00. So I am not sure exactly what the first Insurance is even for??? and can I claim it back!!!0 -
