Parking Charge Notice - in my own carpark! Please advise

For once, s_g, I find myself in agreement with you. The PPC could disappear tomorrow like so much smoke on the wind but your management company will still be there. Tell them to poke it and remind them that you are entitled to peaceful enjoyment of the property you lease which includes a car space. My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

So, here is what you do. Explain to the landlord the situation you find yourself in and also that you now understand about how the majority of private parking companies operate and you think he possible should consider telling them that their services are no longer required. Despite you pressuring him, apologise and say you made a huge mistake and ask the landlord to install some sort of barrier, gates or bollard system for the parking spaces instead, if possible.
Easier said than done methinks IA.
The landlord has more than likely committed himself to at least a 12 month contract with the scammers.0 -
I know I've been stupid and thankyou everyone for your advice and comments. My worry is that they will clamp my car as it's going to be parked there again. I am ringing my management company who own the property tomorrow. If this does end up in court would it be better if I had written a firm but short letter to the ppc to say I am entitled to park there due to being a resident and if they wish to take it further see me in court....some friends have said court would look more favourably on my case if I had attempted to rectify the situation. However I feel that it would be best to ignore them completely even if I had to park my car on the street with a council permit0

Is it in your lease or any documents regarding the property that you have the right to park there without "let or hindrance"? If there ios a right to park in there and they did clamp, you could invite Mr A Grinder in, to release the clamp, as it would be unlawful interference with your property and, if they towed your motor this would be theft, but getting dutti babylon to take action would be hard, sorry it's civil they would chime.0 -
Just thought I would give you an update on my situation....
I rang my landlord to complain about being issued with this parking ticket from Car Park Solutions. At first he just said I should have displayed the permit but I explained that I would end up being sent threatening letters with a threat of debt collectors etc which certainly worried him. Don't think he has any idea how these companies work. He rang CPS who apparently said on this occasion they would waive the charge, i provided my landlord with the ticket number and to my knowledge he got the charge dismissed.
Anyway, I guess this didnt work and i recieved a letter from Roxburge Debt Collectors (i dont have a scanner right now but i will try and get it uploaded at some point although it appears to be the same letter many are recieving with the warning not to follow anecdotal information on the internet....I ignored this letter.
Today i get a letter from surprise surprise, Grahahm White, with the exact same address at Roxburge! Basically saying i own £144 still and if not i may be taken to court....*snore* Anyway, i am again ignoring this although i decided to ring thier number....absolutely hilarious...the automated message first tells you how to make a payment, or press 2 to speak to someone, but before you can speak to someone they want your phone number keyed in so they can put you through to the right department! Yeah right, obviously so they can get hold of my number? I keyed in thier own number to see what would happen. They put me through to some guy who was definietly working in a call centre. He asked me for my address....I told him he wont need that seeing as he has the reference number. I just said I will not be paying this illegal fine because they have no legal right to demand payment and i suggest they stop sending threatening letters because i will be forwarding all correspondance to the legal authorties and BBC watchdog. I suggested that if they wanted to take me to court to go ahead as I will only be too pleased to win my case and the publicity that would generate. The guy on the phone didnt know what to say, then he said Bye and hung up.
Probably shouldnt have rung, wasnt worth my time and wont make a difference to these letters i keep recieving. But it made me feel better at lease.

Well if your landlord thinks he got the ticket cancelled why not send him a copy of the threatograms you have received so far? If you can show him the line of harassment followed by these scumbags maybe he will terminate their contract.
All you needed was a barrier and/or a polite notice to deter unwanted parkers.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've not read all the replies here but from my POV what goes around comes around.
You can't go insisting that there is some sort of enforcement, accept a permit, not display it and then moan at the consequences and then admit you've "put it back" because you don't want another ticket.
You either leave it there in the car permanently or accept the fact that the company has no other way of recognising your car and will leave a ticket on it. Stop trying to be difficult to yourself and others by removing the permit and just leave it in the car. Far less hassle for you and it means you won't continue winding up your landlord too.0
