Letter of complaint about bone in food

I recently found a bit of bone 20mm long with a sharp end in my cooked chicken pasta tub. I aim to write a letter of complaint and will follow advice I've found on this, and other, websites. I have a few questions I'd like to pose...
Should I send the bit of bone with my letter of complaint?
Should I send the plastic tub (with label) too?
Does anyone have any other solid advice for writing a complaint about specifically a bit of sharp bone in my food?
Thanks for any advice.

Does it say 'may contain traces of bones' on the packaging perhaps?
It's not uncommon to find bones in certain foods, fish inparticular, in which case you takee it out, put it to one side and continue eating.0 -
No & No,
You can through to the store and complain or via letter but if the item goes missing the its a case of tough luck.
Write your letter first and the take a photo of the items before sending them in.0 -
This has got to be a wind up surely, nothing happened, no one got hurt.
Coulda, shouda, wouda, but it didnt,
I cant believe that you would go to all this bother for the sake of getting a couple of quid voucher.
It'll cost you more than that in time and postage.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
If you want, you could send it to the manufacturers. They may, out of goodwill, give you vouchers or something, by way of an apology. But, like McKneff said, it wouldn't be worth much and, factoring in the postage costs to send it back, you're probably better off chucking it, as nothing bad happened.Competition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

I dispute this. I have only seen a chicken with bones at Xmas.0 -
I think you're all being very unfair. A child could have eaten that bone and died."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

You should see what my children do to chicken bones they are cracked and sucked until dry.0 -
I remember choking on a fish bone and nearly passing out when i was about 4 or 5.
Didnt do me any lasting damage so to speak, except now I cant stand even the smell of fish (tuna being the exception weirdly enough :S)You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
