The CSA have sent me a letter finally saying that I should be paid a decent amount
Instead of the poxy £77 a month i should be in line for more like £80 a week!!!!!

Is that going to affect your tax credits as well?

Finally yes I'm awar that TC will be affected when he moves in but I thought the earnings threshold was higher than that?????
And i'm pretty sure they will still pay their share of the childcare no matter what we earn????

They awarded me childcare tax credits then promptly reduced it down to £0 because my OH earns too much, so they don't always pay it, and it is worth checking what you will be entitled to.

I know its a little while since your original post, but here are some things I would advise. It seems to me like you need to give up a few things and change a few things.

Mobile phone - You have just upgraded? Cancel it if you are in month 11 and have upgraded I think you might still be able to do this. Try tmobile they do a good deal at the moment my mate has pays about £30 a month and it gives him like £30 to spend on calls and texts then when it reaches that limit you have to top up if you need more. He doesnt often go over it as he trys not to top it up and sticks to that limit. £45 a month is still a lot go to 3 you can get a new phone with 75minutes and 500 texts per month for £15 a month thats a £30 saving straight away. Yeah its not a lot of minutes but see my next idea which could help?

House phone - You may do this already but if not Have you thought about changing to somewhere that does free weekend and evening calls? There are some good deals about that include broadband as well. i use virgin its about £20 or £25 a month for free calls and 8meg broadband.

Gym membership - Yeah it is good and you probably enjoy it but Knock that on the head go running/swimming do sit ups etc at home, buy a cheap bike and go for bike rides. Save a bit of this gym money up and you could buy a cross trainer or something and have it at home then its yours for life.

Smoking - Not going to lecture you on it because I do it myself, but If you have cut down to 3 a day then you might as well cut it out completely. Plus if you can't afford it why do it.

Holidays - Buy a tent and some camping equipment its dead cheap and go camping. Its a great laugh an its cheap and if you have got kids they will love it. Yeah its not going to be the same as going on a plane and lying on a beach in the sun but it is what you make it. It doesn't always matter where you go just go somewhere.

Thats enough for now my fingers are tired from typing.
