Savapoint refund?? Please help.

Please can someone offer some advice. I ordered an item from savapoint on 30th december. It was for £117 and the money was taken straight away. A few days later I received an email saying that I needed to fax through proof of address as there was a possibility that someone was using my details fraudently.
Basically I do'nt have any up to date bills as they come out annually about march and are therfore too old. I have no credit card and my telephone bill is internet based. I sent emails asking for a refund as I would not have anything until march and that it was originally a birthday present which would now be too late.
No replies were received. I telephoned today and spoke to a very rude and abrupt man. He basically said that unless i co-operated they could keep my money for as long as they wanted (also the item is now out of stock). To be able to get a refund I needed to send in proof. The only proof I have is a bank statement which I am a bit wary about sending. When I mentioned this he asked me what I had to hide and kep saying I need to co-operate!!
I really don't know what to do. Are they allowed to keep my money indefinately? I can't afford to lose £117
Please help

How did you pay for the item? Was it via debit card? If so contact your bank/card issuer and see if there is anything that they can do.
They shouldnt be able to keep the money.
Did a google as I had never heard of Savapoint and came up with THIS site for peoples reviews of itWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
I paid with my electron card so i'm assuming that there's not much the bank will be able to do. Unfortunately I did see the reviews on savapoint AFTER I placed my order. Gutted!0

Well it may be worth getting in touch with the card issuer - even if you dont think theres any chance they may be able to advise you what to doWeight Loss - 102lb0

Definitely stay away from them. They take payment right away with no indication that there is no stock. The rude and lack of customer service is just appalling from my personal experience with their inability to respond on ones emails and rude call experiences with Jim. Avoid at all costs.
Contact your card issuer for a dispute on non-receipt of goods.I know nothing0 -
Ordered NIS 2007 disk and the e-mail confirmation said 14 days for delivery - for a disk!
I want to cancel the order, but my e-mails are being ignored - why didn't I do a Google search on them before ordering?
Really annoying as most companies are great with Online orders, but these seem to be a bit of a rip off.
Am going to find as many shopping sites to register my disgust and try to stop people from having the same experience as me.0
