Paypal Confirmed Work Address

I have added my work address on Paypal to receive Parcels as I can't always have them delivered home. I have just bought an item off eBay, want it sending to work, but realised they only want to send to a confirmed Paypal address.

How do I get my work address confirmed?

Just add the address to your Paypal account. You can have multiple addresses.

Dont think you can, not 100% sure about that.

When i joined paypal, they confirmed my address with my credit card address. The US paypal can get an alternate address confirmed i believe.

Unless they can send a letter out with a security code or something for to confirm with them.

Try sending an email to paypal (dont know how long thet take to reply)

Confirmation is all about them ringing you at the address, you inputting a 4 digit number... blah blah blah.

I don't see why this wouldn't be possible at work. Check out the paypal site.

You'll need to get it confirmed before paying otherwise you'll show up unconfirmed and have to re-pay.

I have confirmed at home address - just forgot how I did it. Don't think the Paypal website is the best for help

However, I have already paid. Thought it might just update itself. Will see if the seller spots anything first ... and then maybe try and baffle on with the Paypal help section. :rotfl:

Email the seller and explain to them that you will be in work and can they send it to your work address as you are more likely to be their and see what they say

Have done this in the past with some buyers and just told them to email me with the address it wants going to and I tell them I am not responsible if the parcel goes missing as I only normally send to a confirmed paypal address and the buyers seemed happy with that

If the seller agrees he's voiding paypal's seller protection.

Confirming an address is mostly about PayPal being able to check the address you give against the address associated with the bank card whose details you give. I don’t know if the following will work, but it’s an idea.

If you have a credit or debit card that you’re not using with PayPal, or if you have a second card registered on PayPal, call up the card issuer and get your work address added to the card. Then add the card to your PayPal account or update it, giving your work address as the billing address. I know it says billing address, but the extra card address you’ve added should be valid. It doesn’t seem any different to having to add your work address to your card, when paying a shop directly and the shop wants your credit card issuer to tell them your work address is a valid address for the card. You could also create a new Personal PayPal account, rather than adding an extra card to your existing account.

Think I checked this one about before. Add your new address in paypal as a gift address and as your original main address is confirmed your gift address will also appear as confirmed to the seller.
You will also need to add the work address to your ebay account and set this as your main address for recieving parcels - do this by first importing paypal addresses into ebay.

Pretty sure it will appear as confirmed.
The way to check is to use 2 ebay accounts and buy an auction of yourself for 1p and when you pay for it see on the paypal payment if you are appearing as confirmed. This is what I did a couple of years ago and think it was OK.

I managed to confirm my work address by giving paypal my direct line number and getting them to call me there. It seemed to work for me (although I can't completely claim that I fully understood what I was doing).
