Hi,
Ive bought a dress online, but its arrived and i dont like it, it doesnt look anything like the picture online.
I asked if i can send it back and get a refund, but they have said i can only have a credit note. I dont like anything else they sell so i definately want a refund.
Does anyone know where i stand?

If it's still within 7 days of receipt you can send it back "rejecting the delivery under the Distance Selling Regulations" for a full refund including postage. You will probably have to pay for postage to return it, but should also ask for that to be refunded too.
You need to name and shame the seller though, so others don't have to put up with it.

I tried saying that to them, but they say that it says on their website credit note only for returns.

Maybe let them know that you spoke with consumer direct (who will back this up if you want to check with them). See what they say, if they refuse to budge again then let them know as they refuse to abide by the law you will have to inform Trading Standards.0
