how do i get ebooks from desktop to pocket pc?

Hi all,
have got navman pin 570 pocket pc and have downloaded ebooks from gutenburg site.How do i transfer them to pocket pc?
Also i haven't activated ms ereader on the pocket pc yet as the terms and conditions for opening a passport on the microsoft reader /update mentioned "costs"and "accounts" etc.Is this nothing to worry about and only concerns retailing?

Ive used ereader books on my pda and there has been no cost to me. I cant see where the costs are other then buying the ebook to start with.

I just transfered the files to my pda either on the memory card or the pda memory.
