Sweet chilli sauce

Anyone got any suggestions what I can add to a sweet chilli sauce to cool it down. I bought a different brand and it is too hot for me but hate the thought of throwing it out. Thanks in advance.

You could add some tomato ketchup thinned with a little water.0

sugar counteracts chili heat so I'd make a sugar syrup and dilute the sauce down with that - commercial sweet chilli sauce is basically syrup with chillis in anyway- add some wine vinegar if you think its too sweetPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

I add mayo to hot sauce to cool it down. you still get the nice chilli flavour but it's much more palatable.It looks a bit curdly when you first mix it up but just keep beating it together and it will smooth out x0

Yes, same thing happened to me when I bought an unknown brand from a local asian food store. I used it up quite quickly by adding a dollop of it to gravy, curries, home-made chutneys - in fact anything that I thought needed a bit of pepping-up. I even found that it was a great accompaniment to a cheese sandwich - spread thinly like Marmite!
There's never any waste in our house!0
