Hi,
We are going to Berlin in July then onto Krakow, we managed to book flights to and from UK but we were still waiting for easyjet to put there summer schedule up for the flight from Berlin to Krakow as they were the only ones to do that route.
We have just found out they are no longer doing Berlin to Krakow so have decided to go by train 9 hours + !!
Does anyone know of a cheap way?, (we are 2 adults and 2 16yr olds.)

Have a look at what I googled

I went to Warsaw from Berlin Zoologischer Garten once and it was easy and quick (we came all the way from London by train, so this was a quickie by comparison - never do this again, such an expensive way to travel):wall:0 -

Price for single adult, Direct train, 9 1/2 hours, Berlin Ostbahnhof > Krakow Glowny comes up as € 51.60 (£ 35.00).
Compare that to British Rail!0 -
I went by rail last summer from Berlin (Ostbahnhof) to Kracow. As it was so cheap (£10) I treated myself to travel 1st class which was only £33. It was a lovely way to travel and see the countryside, eat before you cross the border though because the buffet car then closes (It didn't take credit/ debit cards either) I booked online through DBB who were very efficient and my tickets arrived within 3 days of booking. The train broke down and there was only air conditioning in 1st class. Which was empty but for us. Everyone else was sweltering in the heat so it was well worth the extra cost.
Also, the Polish National Airline charges non Poles much more than native Poles for the same domestic flights. so we ticked the box to collect our tickets from one of their offices in Poland, rather than having them posted to us in the UK. (There is one in Krackow) It worked and the flight was 1/3 of what we would have been charged otherwise. Have a good hol. dont worry about the 9 hrs - the time flies it is so interesting.0 -
