What is "R&R"?!

I think it's "refund and retain", and refers to Tesco's policy by if something is overcharged at the tills compared to the shelf label, and you point this out at customer services they're meant to refund you the FULL item cost you paid, plus you get to keep the item!
I'm new to tesco so only dared try vouchers... wish I could find a R'n'R to try... hehe:rotfl:0 -
yes i do indeed think thats what it stands for.
and i have went to cs abut this with an item i was overcharged and indded you get a refund and get to keep the item for free.
i always check my recipt:search:

you then go to cs ??
what if there is a sticker on the box which says £5.05 ?
does this only apply to the shelf label and the till scan ? how on earth do you find these out then without having your own scanner ?0 -

don't sweat, R & R as we know it is probably being pulled on 1st Feb anyway. Seems to be the general concencus of opinion at most Tescos.

Often they will be across all the Tescos stores, if a product was a lower price and stickered and then was put up in price.
This happens with special offer, books, dvds and games mainly. But meat is always a good one to look at.

Books are a good R&R as Tesco do not stock the book department - it is an outside company. Know this cos last year I was getting mispriced books every week and staff told me how it works.
You will become known at CS - I normally look at meat at my regular tescos but one day I spotted a mobile phone incorrectly discounted. I brought it and took it to CS, regular lady very nice rang the manager as it was £150 worth of phone, I heard her say "no definatly no chance of that" which I took to mean - would I accept the difference, as they will try to offer you the difference if they can. so had a new phone thanks to Mr T.
I could have brought 2 or 3, as this misprice was a "no get out of one" and 100% elegiable for R&R, but I never adbuse the policy I only ever buy what I want, abuse gets policies like this stopped. You will normally find a misprice every day at tesco -they are so big the staff cant keep up with the changing prices, the meat is pre priced so its normally just put on shelf, staff do not have time to keep checking price per kg.
Its a shame if they stop this, but got a feeling the hardened R&Rs will be keeping trading standards busy if they do and tesco fines will soar.Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0
