Is this ok for evening buffet?

Reading the other thread, I'm a bit worried about our buffet. The venue is fantastic on everything bar the buffet options. The wedding is in 6 weeks so can't really change things now lol. We have chosen the hot buffet which consists of: A hot selection of homemade sausage rolls, Cajun potato wedges, roasted bbq chicken drumsticks and breaded mozzarella sticks. We have 110 guests and have 55 individual toffee cheesecakes and 55 individual mixed berry cheesecakes and a small sponge cake. These will be the sweet part of the buffet. Does that sound ok? I wish there was more variety. We are also serving up tea and coffee with the buffet. Reception starts at 7pm, first dance at 7.30pm and serving buffet around 9.45pm when the band stop for a break.
Does that sound ok? I don't want the evening guests to go hungry or anything.

Sounds fine to me. Guests don't expect a feast at a wedding buffet, so a few nibbles to soak up the alcohol sounds perfect to me

You may even have too many cheesecakes as we were advised to just cater for a percentage of guests eg 70% or 80%.0 -
Your buffet sounds lovely...I expect your guests will love it...the cheese cakes are a great idea and a different spin on a pudding that you dont need a spoon to eat it...
What you also need to remember is that theres more to an evening do than just the food...its also about catching up with those you havent seen for a while, reliving the day and generally having a good time...at our reception I did so much mingling that I actually forgot to eat the food.

That sounds like a lovely buffet, I'd be very happy with that if I was a wedding guest!"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0

Personally, I'd probably try and swipe one of each of the cheesecakes...But I guess for every greedy sod like me there's someone who's not a sweet lover

Will you be feeding the band? (I have no idea if that's usually done or not) If so, you might need a couple more cheesecakes!
Although, I expect there'll be several people who don't even want a pudding.
God, it's more difficult than it sounds, isn't it.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
