It really isnt very romantic! the tittle sounds good for a song in a wedding- but its not lol

I dont think its that bad. I interupt it as meaning I love you so much all I wanna do is marry you, and if it doesnt last what does that matter Im having so much fun with you right now I couldnt think of anything better to do, lets throw caution to the wind and get married! Some people are so serious about getting married and have certain 'timeframes' that must stuck to (date for this long, engaged for this long etc) and I think this song is just a reminder that it is about two people being in love in that very moment.

There's so many lyrics in most songs that are a little adrift to what you want the meaning to be - nothing's perfect!

I adore the song and if it had been released when we got married, I'd have used it in a heartbeat!!!!

I reckon there must be loads of songs like that where certain bits of the song dont particularly go with weddings but I dont think people really notice. I love that Adele song Make you Feel my Love for example but its not about reciprocated love. Its about a woman who is obsessed with a bloke but he isnt sure if he wants to be with her or not. Still beautiful though (and I dont think people would notice!) I wanted Someone Like You by Kings of Leon until I found out it was about a prostitute! lol

I thought the same about the song. I thought it might be a good song because of the title but then I heard the lyrics and thought it was very inappropriate for a wedding.

To me it sounds like two people who have just met and on impulse get married at a las vegas walk in church thing. They are drunk and might regret it in the morning but don't care right now.

I used to work in a hotel that did a lot of weddings and a surprising amount of people used to ask for You're Beautiful by James Blunt as their first dance song, which is definitely a case of going for a nice title and not thinking about the words!

This song was playing in my car on the school run yesterday. My kids were all debating who they are going to marry when they grow up. My 7 year old turned around to his little brother and sisters and said 'you dont have to get married, you can just get a dog':rotfl:
