Just a quick update from another forum for those attending the Odyssey:As and from Sunday 11 December 2011 the Sydenham Road will become severely restricted for parking with double yellow lines being introduced along most of the road and parking will be strictly prohibited.
Saw that paragraph online yesterday, for those who don't know the Sydenham Road is the long road that runs from the Odyssey to the roundabout at the entrance of the Harbour Estate/Dee Street, Harbour Police say fines will be given to cars found parked on this stretch of road.0 -

Just a quick update from another forum for those attending the Odyssey:
Always thought on street bay / ticket parking would make a fortune there but now that the BMC is round the corner on Queen's Road that will make parking for those who work on the road more challenging perhaps.
Any info on where the double yellows will start / stop?Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

When you park in the Odyssey, just park down beside the exit, or as close as you can get. I was there on Friday night to see Mrs Browns boys and I did this, I was in the car at 10.58pm and by 11pm I was on the road and away!0

THis is what I will be doing next time. Last time I was there for a major event (Peter Kay) it look me as long to get from Kilkeel to Belfast as it did to get from the westlink to a parking space. Which incidently ended up being on double yellows!0 -
I always park in the carpark in front of Arnotts and Yello - it's free at night too! Then just walk from there over the bridge - takes about ten mins to walk it but then when you leave you're not sitting in the crazy queue waiting to get out of the Odyssey Carpark - great if you're heading to the West Link to go Newry direction too! Hope that helps!0
