Geographic telephone no for Tax Credits (non 0845)

028 9053 8192 gets you through without using the 0845 number.

    I hoped my post would help someone - obviously not you (have you nothing better to do?)

    I have to pay to ring 0 8 4 5 numbers (oops, look at that wrong format), but I get free calls to geographic numbers).

    I think it's a disgrace that this number is chargeable and they make a profit from it as it's 0845. You wouldn't mind if they answered the phone but it was nearly 12 miins yday til they answered and about 25 all up. ANd all because they had made a mistake and cancelled my tax credits. Flaming cheek.

    Tell me about it! They cancelled my TC run on by accident too - must be something in the waters at HMRC!
  • For the reasons stated above this is why i cannot be arsed to even claim my Tax Credits!

    Wonder how many others dont bother?!
