Soap v Handwash

I have reverted back to soap. I have no problem with it going soggy.
Haven't used any kind of soap on my face for at least 13 years, so that's not an issue!
I love the fragrance of BS Moringa soap, which is quite soft, but as long as I leave it to dry out on the side of the shower cubicle each night and not in a puddle on the base, it's fine. Soap used with a shower puff (or whatever you call them) creates lots of creamy lather.
I no longer buy everyday shower gel , but am happy to receive particularly nice stuff for birthdays and Christmas and use both.
Tablet soap is extremely MS and well worth re-considering, especially if you've got children and are trying to keep to a tight budget. When I was a child, the soap was rotated around the house. A newly opened tablet of soap would be put on the bathroom wash basin (in case of visitors), when another new one was opened, the part-used one one would be moved to the bath. Eventually, that used-up sliver would move to the kitchen sink!0 -
I haven't used soap for years. I find it dries my skin and the thought of using something to wash myself with that someone else has washed with grosses me out! _pale_ We all have our own shower gels and handwashes here.:j0

Like Bronnie (), I haven't used soap on my face for more years than I can remember, I have a special facewash for that.
My reason for posting is that DH and I must be the odd couple:) He uses soap in the shower (Simple or similar) as he says shower gel dries his skin but really likes handwash (cheap shower gel;)) at the basin. I think that's because he's a bit more houseproud than me and finds it less messy.
I have moisturising shower gel (Nivea or something more expensive if someone else is buying) but soap (on the other side of the basin) for washing other than my face.
It would be so much easier if we had separate bathrooms:rotfl:need to buy a bigger house!0 -
I use soap bars from Lush which I adore and keep them in a soap box/tin to stop them going soggy. I would never share it with anyone except my hubby though and wouldn't use one that's been left on the side of a sink in a public loo - communial soap seems really disgusting to me for some reason!0

I use soap bars, and keep them on largish upturned nailbrushes (cheapos) I bought for this purpose. That way there is no sogginess as the soap dries evenly and quickly.
I do use a soap dispenser that I bought years ago - I grate bits of soap bars and put them in with enough water to give it the appropriate consistency, and keep that by the kitchen sink. Very money saving, considering that a while back I went temporarily insane with regard to soap and now I have STILL 5 dozens of them!Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0
