Canon digital camera back

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Name Dropper I've been Money Tipped!
I've two old Canon SLR cameras and a number of lenses at home and I'm thinking it would be nice to start taking a few more photos.

Anyway can readers tell me if I can buy a new back to fit my old Canon lenses?

It’s a long time since I looked at SLR cameras and I have no idea really about what is out there so advice re models and what to look out for, and avoid, would be useful.

I’ve had a look at Amazon and the one coming up there was the Canon EOS 40D at between £350 and £400. For a 'want' purchase a bit on the steep side. But I’m sure there are other models. I wouldn’t want to go much beyond £220 but I’ve no idea what, if anything, I’d get for that.

I'd be thinking about buying online possibly an auction site and while ebay is still the biggest of these sites out there are there any of the other online auction sites that readers would recommend for this type of product?

At the moment I’ve a nice little Canon Power Shot A2000

As always many thanks for your advice

Kevin

I too had a canon slr camera and purposely bought a canon dslr so I could use my old lenses.

If you look on the body of the canon dslr you have two marks where the lens connect. The new lenses bayonet fittings have a white mark , the old canon lenses fit on the red mark. I have the first canon dslr the made 350D
