Credit was though Hitachi Capital im sure. I bought product insurance, not sure about the ppi. But for their sale to go through the salesman lied and said i was an employed nurse when i was a student nurse????? Do i have claim???

On what basis does your solicitor think it was missold, apart from you signing a document you knew to be making a false statement?

What was the 'item', and was it the item or the financial product that was missold?

It appears that you knowingly commited fraud.
  • What does your solicitor make of your signing of the form knowing it was a lie? (committing fraud).

    Why did you sign it?
    Thinking critically since 1996....

Can only concur with what is posted above.

Are you sure it is a solicitor and not some claims company (who are certainly not solicitors and often are less qualified and knowledgeable than members of the public)?

Like Dunstonh are you sure this wasnt a CMC? they are mostly sales people who would tell you you've been mis-sold an ice cream because it melted, if it meant they'd earn a few quid.

So, the reason you intend to give for the loan being mis-sold is that you committed fraud in order to get it?

You know what? Excellent stuff. Go right ahead. Let us know how you get on.

  • Taken all comments into account. Did not knowingly commit fraud. The salesman volunteered commit fraud. I did not even think i would get my laptop just went in to query. The salesman said i'll put you through as employed to pass the credit check. Only had my student nurse bursary as income. That was why the solicitor said it had been mis sold. I was honest with the salesman i was not working and a student.
