they're the same thing; just wrapped in different plastic.

    hello to you too(!)

    Here here!

The price difference is just for those who are willing to pay a little more for 'trolley credibility'.

I used to feel embarrassed with my value bread, value cocoa, value flour, value disinfectant, value shampoo & soap, value frozen chicken breasts, value apples etc, etc. I used to put my whoopsied items upside down to hide the labels etc. Now I don't give a hoot!

I simply think, I have nothing to be ashamed of.

Which is the greater shame to have:

More sense than money or more money than sense......
    ... I rest my case!

students live off value/basics/smart price items. i couldn't give a monkeys what other people think! :D

in fact, i've noticed a considerable decrease in the number of reduced items over the past few years in various supermarkets. far more people are buying 'reduced to clear' items....there is no longer a stigma associated with buying such items.

we were setting the trends a few years back....now people are following us!

    Tesco Fresh Single Cream 300Ml
    Tesco Fresh Chicken Stock 420G

    Or you could use:

Value frozen chicken breasts (around a pound worth)
Campbells mushroom soup (free with voucher)
Frozen puff pastry (you need to to roll it  though!) From Heron Foods 50p
Or you could make your own shortcrust in minutes for pence with value flour & marg!
2 leeks from the grocers (probably around 70p)

Campbell soups are amazing as bases in pies.
    Net cost around £2.20
