Tesco Real Food £5 Offer - Chicken & Leek Pot Pies

Everything except the mustard is hopelessly over-priced.
I would estimate the real 'normal' price of those items should be about £6 if you bought it all at Asda :mad:0 -
For example, why is the chicken breast priced @ £11.59/kg? Same thing from Tesco £7.40 a kilo http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=2596013990

have to agree with you on this sirbrainy.
this deal is not as good as their last £5 real food deal.
i just did a couple of minutes of searching....this is what i would get:
chicken: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=252465357
leeks: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268474258
cream: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=268726514
pastry: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=254916553
mustard: http://www.tesco.com/groceries/Product/Details/?id=260691779
you could make the stock from the chicken you boil off. ok it costs an extra quid or two but you'd get far more for your money!:grouphug:

You are comparing value products with the standard produce, it always going to be cheaper, it a good deal..if you don't like it move along nothing to see here "He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

Was in Tesco earlier and the deal isn't as good as last weeks. Only 2 small chicken breasts, individual price £2.50. I already have the mustard from last week, and home made pastry is easy (plus I am wheat intolerant, so couldn't use the pastry in the deal).0
