How long after offer accepted before Sold STC on Rightmove?

Hi All

Had an offer accepted on a house this morning (yay!). The offer was subject to the house coming off the market straight away. It's on with 4 agents so just wondering how long is reasonable for them to all change the status to Sold STC? The agent I went through has changed it on their company website already.

Cheers

I've notice that they take their time to update Rightmove - I guess it brings in extra business as potential parties call regarding the property where they are informed it's gone....however their details are registered and other suitable properties suggested.

  • Our house took about 2 days to appear as SSTC on rightmove, but much longer to change on Zoopla, someone at work's house took at least a week, and one the estate agent rang up to tell us that an offer had been placed on a house we had been looking at, took over a week as well before it changed (I'd been wondering if we had misheard as it took so long).

Thanks for the replies. It's SSTC on Rightmove with the agent I went through now, I'll check again in the morning to see if the others have done it too.

When we bought our previous house it was on with several agents. Some three months after completion we noticed it was still being advertised on RM and we had to call the agent to get him to have it updated/removed

Wow! That's either very inefficient or just bad practise. I wonder what the agent was telling people who phoned up to view the house after you had completed?

I know........I really don't understand why they did it other than to lure in potential purchasers of the other properties on their books. It was a one-off house as well, so not like they had loads of similar properties waiting in the wings :o

    Hi,
    Congratulations!

We agreed with the estate agents that all marketing n advertisements on the property be changed to SSTC. However, a week later it was only signified as 'Under OFfer'.

We called the EA, asking what's going on n whether there was any problem. Conveniently, we were told that the definition of 'under offer' n SSTC are the same. "B*lls*it"!!

Anyway, we said the definition on rightmove is different n would prefer they change it.

Once the estate agents amends their website and if is linked to rightmove, the SSTC sign should appear after 24 hours. This was the advice given on a recent property we had an offer accepted on.
