  • You just get a full grant which will cover your student fees if you have a low income. Its all explained on the studentfinance website and booklets which if your at school/collage you should have recieved or will be recieving soon
  • i got my part-time fees paid for me when i was on IB, HB and CTB, (a few others are included too) and a small yearly grant.

now that i am full-time and no longer on benefits, i get a fee loan, plus a maintenace loan and a maintenance grant, becuase im under 25 (despite the fact that ive lived in my own flat for 3 years!), my finance is calculaed on my parents who are on low incomes, so i get full entitlements, the upper limit for this is a household income of £15,000 pa before tax.

Depends on whether you are an independant student (with partner, self supportive, supporting dependants) or a dependant student (supported by parents). If the former then the process is a bit more complex and support will be subject to your own individual circumstances. If the latter it depends on your parents income, if your parents income is anything under £15k, you pay nothing, above this you'll pay either the full fees or a contribution towards them depending on where your parents income falls on the scale.
