Jazz v Fabia v Fiesta v Swift?!
Just looking for opinions on these four motors please. All would be between 06-08 plate. Looking for something small enough for a young driver, yet big enough for a buggy, two car seats and shopping. Was leaning towards the Jazz, until I test drove a Fabia yesterday that really surprised me. Then the Fiesta is cheapest to buy, run and insure... Know not a lot about the Suzuki tho - any thoughts please?

The Jazz will be by far and away the most versatile for a small car in terms of space, with the fabia not too far behind. The fiesta still feels quite cramped inside despite having grown along with all the other "small" cars and the swift is somewhere inbetween I would say. I'm sure you could get by with any of them but I would say the Jazz wins in that respect.
The interior of the fiesta is also horrible (imo), can't say I'm too keen on the Fabia inside either but at least it's just a bit boring rather than garish like the Ford.
The Ford and Suzuki handle pretty neatly, Fabia is fine as is the Jazz - if you aren't going to be throwing the car around then in reality any will do.
What would attract me to the Fabia is the 1.2 turbo engine, perfectly suited to something that size - I haven't driven a fiesta yet that feels like it's got enough get up and go but from what i've read I seem to be in the minority with that.0 -
Mazda2 ?
The old style one is a bit of a style free granny chariot but is sensible and reliable...but..you should be able to get an early model of the current shape one. Roomy enough, good looking, nippy, economical, reliable. I'm very pleased with mine.0 -

I liked it when I was looking for a car but I just didn't like the dashboard! Irrational maybe but there you go!0 -
I have owned a Swift for 3 years - a 1.5 automatic that averages 45mpg and handles well
I would say though that it lacks boot space and is tight for legroom in the back - so if you need space for 4/5 - go for the Jazz0
