Hi all,
Just hoping for a bit of advice and to warn others.
Following lots of problems with LoveFilm, they offered a free upgrade to their next package. Great we thought. Except they are now claiming it was a limited offer despite no mention of this in their offer email.
They can't make up their minds whether it was offered for a month or for a year. They have since charged my the higher amount which I cannot accept as I never authorised a chargeable upgrade.
They have also charged my incorrectly on a few occasions.
Unfortunatey, they are refusing to budge!

I had a bad experience with lovefilm too, they wouldn't let me cancel, every time I tried they would say it was cancelled and then send another disk & charge my card. It only ended when I sent back a disk 'not at this address' and they finally stopped sending them and I managed to cancel. Asked for a refund on the months I didn't want and they refused. I wouldn't hand them my details ever again.Oct £10 a day challenge £225.19/£310Sept £10 a day challenge: £272.13/£300Debt £1951.97/£21540

other than delayed discs and the odd scratched disc, they'd been fairly good. But their emails appear to go back on promised made and they all contradict each other (basically lie).
Can't even email anyone superior - all the love film email address seem to bounce back!0 -
Have you tried emailing the CEO, Simon Calver, directly? It's what I'd try if you're having no luck with the call centre staff.

Yes, I've tried him & andrew ground. Both addresses seem to bounce back.0

watchdog did a feature on this company. During the programme they gave out a telephone no. to call if you have problems with what you were sold.
If you have a Wii, you can get access to bbc iplayer through the console if not, have a look at https://www.bbc.co.uk and search for watchdogThe Cabbage

I've had a bad experience with them as a new customer. Took out a 30 day trial and the DVD I was sent didn't work. Also they have now decided they won't be sending me the Amazon voucher that was part of the trial but are sending me a Gourmet Card instead which I don't want. Cancelled now before the end of the trial and won't ever be going to them again.0

I've only had 2 issues with LoveFilm thus far;
1) They wouldn't open the account in my name, as I was under 18, about a week after my 18th birthday. None of them could comprehend I was actually 18.
2) For some odd reason, all our discs come 1 by 1 these days, rather than two at a time. It's really annoying.0 -
Shame to hear that- I've had nothing but good service from LoveFilm so far and have been recommending it to all and sundry.They are an EYESORES!!!!0
