Hi
Im wanting to send a letter off to my loan companies ( i know that i have had PPI on some loans but not others) but im wanting to find out whether i have paid PPI on my loans prior to writing to claim them back, so what is the best way to go about this, do i just write to them with details of the account and to let me know if there were any PPI on the loans. And just take their word for it, or is there a specific template i need to be sending to them.
Any help would be great, im doing the same for a previous mortgage aswell

Hi there
It may be the case of requesting for a subject access request (SAR), but what you could do at first, is try other areas to save requesting a SAR where you would enclose £10 cheque/postal order for this request.
Ring them, email them or send a letter and ask them to let you know of any PPI.
Failing that its back to the SAR.
Letter template below, (just to make you aware as well, for any accounts under the same business/bank) one SAR should cover for all, just give the account numbers on the one SAR and enclose just the one off payment as stated above.
For separate banks/companies its separate SAR's etc.
Full SAR template letter below.

Or another way, if any with a bank, call in speak to the branch manager or whoever available in the bank, they may check these out for you.
Hope this helps, good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
