Does anyone have a provider they would recommend please? Aol is now so pants, they left me on hold for the last 20 minutes and enough is enough. The connection keeps freezing and throwing me out.
I don't do games videos etc so I just need a good broadband connection provider. Not much to ask?
Thank you in advance for any replies.....I am just going to bang my head against the wall..........

Are you on ADSL or dial-up? Read about MTU for AOL ADSL.0 -
Its all very subjective im afraid. I would reccommend you BT as i have not had the problems some other people who would tell you to steer clear of them have had.
I know some friends of mine both had Sky and one said it was poor and the other said it was ace and they were only a few blocks away from each other..
Im waiting for infinity to be rolled out to me though i reckon this may take some time"If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
I'm on broadband king, I don't know what MTU is, but I will find out! Thank you0

I left Talk Talk due to the fact that when they took over Tiscali they "rewarded" my by reducing my service. I have not recommended them to anyone yet and am unlikely to.
I switched to Plusnet who were ...........different ...........but once it got sorted they have been fine. The reason I am bothering you with this is because Plusnet have no download limits between midnight and 0800. This can be very useful for some people. It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.0 -
Yeh, in general they're all rubbish..
BT are overpriced and are mighty keen keen to sell you stuff you don't need.
AOL are just plain awful. No ifs, no buts.
Sky Broadband's Customer Sevice is second to none in it's incompetence.
Tiscali / TalkTalk are picking up a bit ( a tiny incy wincy bit) from the rubbish they were serving up for years.
Are Orange still going? I just think SMTP for email servers...
If I was taking a punt now, i'd go for primus. My phone's been with them for 18 months and they're cheap and cheerful. Absolutely no idea what they're broadband's like.
But you're right, Watchdog could spend months on each one of them..0 -

Sky i would go with i have never had any problems with0
