New Laptop but which one ??

Hi ,We have decided we must invest in a new laptop,we have not got a clue which one would be the best for us,
We surf the net and receive e mails,thats all we use it for.
Please can anyone give us some idea what sort of spec we need or the best brand etc we like a big screen mecause we have managed to get Sky Go on it for hubby to watch the football

Any new laptop will do what you ask.
So that's the cake, but you could put some icing on it - depending on what you want to spend.
Given hubby's interest in football, your first choice is size of screen.
Most laptops are about 15", if that's sufficient, you still have dozens to choose from.
Going for a bigger screen will narrow the choice.
Some laptops have an LED backlit screen, which may give a better experience for watching football, but husband may not notice any difference.
Most of the brands are much of a muchness, although Advent get lots of bad write-ups, so best avoided.
I think Lenovo and Toshiba are better-built than some others.
In the absence of any strong brand preference, have a look at either of those.
Ebuyer is a reliable site, and good for a browse even if you decide to buy elsewhere.
