Who to report a Malicious website

As the post title suggests, if someone started a malicious website about you or your company who do you report it to ?

Generally it wouldn't be a criminal offence, it's a civil one (either slander/liable, I always confuse the two). Best bet is to contact the host and explain the situation, they'll remove the content if it violates their terms of service. If it's less clear cut, you may have to persue legal actions through the courts, in which case you'll have to consult with a solicitor.
The only cases in which the police would be involved is if the sites are threatening or encouraging violence or other unlawful behaviour.0 -

It would be a civil suit so the police woudlnt get involved probably. We wud need to help this person find the host probably.

You can use whois tools on both the domain (to see who registered it) and the ip (to find out the host). If you PM me the URL of the site I can help you find these, otherwise just Google for 'whois', plenty of sites out there.0

Trouble is, if it is hosted outside the UK there is little you can do other than contacting the provider and asking them to remove it.0

Well, if the person who posted it is in the UK you could still sue them for libel, couldn't you? IANAL, but I don't see why hosting it abroad would make any difference.0
