Digital Photo Frame advice?

Hi,

After an amazing holiday we are looking at a Digital photo frame.

Now I have no idea or experience on these at all, are there any things I should look out for?

How do they work? Do they accept SD cards in order to load digital photos onto? or can you USB it to your photo folder and download a selection of photos for it to "cycle" around?

Also can you check off how quickly it changes/fades to another photo?

Ideally we would like a new photo a day, so a 24hr cycle to a new picture would be handy - is this all possible?

Thanks!

They vary a lot. Some have built in memory while some take memory cards.
Most will do a slide show of the pictures loaded and let you control the time between pictures. But usually that time is measured in seconds, rather than hours.
I have one, but we hardly use it. If people are visiting, we might switch it on. Also, you have to crop the pictures to fit the frame size to avoid them being stretched to fit, or cropped to a size smaller than the screen.

We had one given as a gift - it's now in a drawer gathering dust - I'm still trying to find the person who sits and watches photos!
